Steering Committee Meeting

A "Steering Committee" was held on March 15, 2022 within the scope of the Social Inclusion for Persons with Mental Disabilities Project, financed by the European Union and the World Health Organization, and carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Health.

After the of Hulusi Armağan Yıldırım, General Director of Participation in Social and Economic Life, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Angel Gutierrez Hidalgo De Quintana, Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, Head of Economic and Social Development, Undersecretary, Serhat Bayram, Contracts Manager, Central Finance and Contracts Unit, Dr Ledia Lazeri, Mental Health Programme World Health Organization Europe Regional Advisor, Dr Akfer Karaoğlan Kahiloğulları presented the realized and planned activities, and the sustainability issues with the participants at the meeting held with the participation of representatives from European Union Delegation to Turkey, Central Finance and Contracts Unit, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organization. 

 

Important issues such as coordination at the central and local levels, legislation reviews, quality improvements, establishing interinstitutional training network, sharing experiences, in-service trainings, decreasing and terminating the physical restraint and seclusion, and achievements such as the Local Steering Committees supported in 15 provinces and the QualityRights Distance Training Platform, for which 1527 people have been certified to date, were discussed at the meeting.
