ANNUAL CONFERENCE

9-10 December 2019 - Ankara

The first annual conference was held between 9-10 December 2019 in Anadolu Hotels Downtown Ankara within the scope of the Social Inclusion for the Persons with Mental Disabilities Project carried out with the financial support of the European Union and the World Health Organization, and with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services.

The annual conference focused on “Quality”. The conference was held as a forum to inform the participants about the activities carried out in the first year of the Project and contribute to the quality works. Another prominent aspect of the conference was that the QualityRights Distance Training Platform, which is expected to increase awareness and knowledge about mental health, quality of care standards and protection of human rights, was presented.

Approximately 200 people participated in the conference, and information on the activities carried out in the first year of the Project was shared, and a discussion environment was provided to contribute to increasing the quality of mental health services.

Dr Pavel URSU (WHO Representative to Turkey), Ayşe ERGEZEN (Deputy Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services), Prof Dr Emine ALP MEŞE (Deputy Minister of Health), and Ceyda DÜVENCİ and Özge UZUN attended the conference.
