EASE and PM+ Training Programmes carried out in Hatay
9-19 August 2025 - Hatay
In Hatay, local health and social service professionals are receiving Early Adolescent Skills for Emotions (EASE) and Problem Management Plus (PM+) to deliver evidence-based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) interventions to communities affected by the 6 February earthquakes.
EASE is an evidence-based group psychological intervention designed to support 10–15-year-olds experiencing internalizing problems, including stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. It equips adolescents with the skills to regulate emotions, manage stress, and address psychosocial challenges in adversity-exposed contexts.
PM+ provides structured support for adults to cope with psychological distress, address daily life challenges, and strengthen social support networks. The programme enhances both individual and community resilience, facilitating recovery and adaptive functioning following crises.
These trainings are delivered under the EU and WHO-funded Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities Project, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Health.
