CST Facilitator Training

Caregiver Skills Training (CST) for families of children with developmental delays or disabilities was held in Ankara. With this training, new facilitators were trained to support the implementation of the program throughout Turkey, particularly in the provinces affected by the earthquake, and a significant step was taken towards reaching more children and caregivers with CST.

4th Annual Education Networks Meeting

The 4th Annual Training Networks Meeting was held to evaluate the effectiveness of Community Mental Health Centers, address the current state of community-based mental health services, and determine future priorities. The meeting brought together over 80 mental health professionals, public institution representatives, and relevant stakeholders from across Türkiye.

EASE Facilitator Training

The Pre-Adolescent Emotion Management Skills (EASE) Facilitator Training was completed in Ankara. With this training, new facilitators were trained to support the implementation of the program throughout Turkey, particularly in the provinces affected by the earthquake, and a significant step was taken towards reaching more adolescents with EASE.

National Mental Health Action Plan (URSEP) 2025-2030 Workshop

The National Mental Health Action Plan (URSEP) 2025-2030 Preparatory Workshop was held in Ankara on May 21-22, 2025. The workshop was conducted within the framework of the “Social Inclusion Project for Individuals with Mental Disabilities,” jointly funded by the European Union and the World Health Organization (WHO), and implemented in collaboration between the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Health.

Youth Participation Workshop

A Youth Participation Workshop was organized in Ankara, with the participation of medical and communication faculty students from Ankara and the provinces affected by the earthquake. Focusing on mental well-being and suicide prevention, the workshop aimed to raise awareness among young people in this area and encourage their active participation.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Social Inclusion of Persons with Mental Disabilities Project

The EU-funded Social Inclusion for Persons with Mental Disabilities Project was initiated after the WHO Regional Director for Europe and the Turkish Contracting Authority signed the agreement on 25 July 2018. This project follows the footsteps of the previous Social Inclusion for Persons with Mental Disabilities Project, also completed with EU funding, and is in line with the commitments of Government of Türkiye to improve the services for persons with mental disabilities and EU strategic action directives on disability and mental health.
