She emphasized that the European Commission’s person-centered, community-based approach aligns with Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to support individuals with mental disabilities.

Dr Yasin Akar, Director General of Services for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly, emphasized that the essence of societal progress today is defined by the value placed on human dignity and inclusion. He highlighted that through national and international cooperation, the aim is to ensure individuals with mental disabilities can access their rights and participate fully in society without discrimination.

The showcase featured three documentaries that shed light on the struggles, resilience, and personal stories of individuals living with mental health conditions.

The panels highlighted the dedication and efforts of those working to provide support and promote inclusion, while also emphasizing the efforts of people with mental disabilities in terms of their rights, potential, and independent living.

"Change is Possible" premiered for the first time, showcasing the transformative power of inclusion and emphasizing the potential for people with disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives when provided with the right support and opportunities.
